Below are 10 steps on how to safely use UV Antivirus Lights

  1. Prepare. Make sure the room you will sanitize is clean and dry.

  2. Disconnect all electric appliance from sockets. Remove all combustible materials. Turn off all lights in the test area. The area needs to be as dark as possible for the UV light to expose bacteria.

  3. Vacate. To ensure their safety, move plants, pets, people outside the room during sterilization.

  4. Equip. For added protection, operator should wear dark sunglasses and safety gloves when handling. Do NOT look directly into a lit UV light during sterilization to ensure safety.

  5. Set. Place the UV light on the center of the area for better coverage. Time usage for UV light disinfectant varies on the size of the area. Preferred sterilization time is between 15-45 minutes depending on the size of your room. Set the built-in timer and/or remote control so the UV light will turn on after you vacate the room.

  6. Caution. Do not touch or look at the UV Light directly when it is turned on. It is not advisable to look directly at any UV source – at any distance.

  7. Wait. When the UV light timer has turned off, wait for at least 15 minutes before the operator enters the room. Make sure to open windows and doors to let fresh air in. Wait for another 30 minutes to let air flow inside the room.

  8. Storage. After 30 minutes of air flow, operator may return inside room.

  9. Store the UV light safely, out of reach of children and pets. Do NOT touch the UV bulb directly, only touch the plastic/metal parts surrounding the bulb.

  10. Enjoy. Move plants, pets, and people back inside. Enjoy your disinfected room! You may use the same UV light in another room after the device has cooled down. It is recommended to use the UV light at most twice a month to sterilize a regular residence with low exposure to harmful germs.
